After reading the syllabus, I have a general idea of what my English class offers. I expect us to read, note take, be active in class (whether that's reading out loud, asking questions, answering questions, communicating with peers, etc), and having various perspectives on the way we think about a topic. Basically to broaden, deepen, and connect our ideas with others.
My plans are to not be late for class, stay present in the classroom, do work outside of class, set aside a few minutes to organize my schedule, plan ahead for deadlines, and visit office hours or peers outside of class to work or discuss something together.
I really look forward to writing and learning different writing styles to express my feelings and thoughts! I’m also interested in reading my peer’s pieces of writing, reading all kinds of ideas and perspectives to expand my knowledge, find my favorites, feel connections, and possibly have new goals for the future.
